Anxiety

Anxiety can be debilitating and frustrating. Those with anxiety often feel stuck, unable to make change, perpetuatally experiencing anxiety producing settings and circumstances.  For students this can sometimes manifest into school refusal.  For adults, it can result in social isolation or major impediments to career advancement.  Anxiety is very treatable through a combination of exposure therapy and managing “cognitive distortions”.  This is the tendency of those with anxiety to convince themselves of facts that may not be entirely true.  Let us help you identify what are the triggers that activate your anxiety.  We can work together to build coping skills to help minimize the control anxiety is having on your life.
